Baked Whole Wheat Chocolate Donut Recipe

This whole wheat chocolate donut recipe with peanut butter glaze is a healthy and delicious treat or breakfast. Made without oil, butter, or refined sugar. {Clean Eating}


For the Donuts

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk (I used unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 egg

Peanut Butter Glaze

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp Natural peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp coconut sugar


For the Donuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine all dry ingredients into a large bowl
  3. Combine all wet ingredients in a separate bowl
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients
  5. Pour into a well-greased donut pan
  6. Bake 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

For the Peanut Butter Glaze

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together – start with 1 Tbsp of milk and add 1 Tbsp at a time until desired consistency is met
  2. Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze and enjoy!
