My mom is so jealous right now because she can’t eat any sugar. She can’t even eat honey or maple syrup. She has learned that she has insulin resistance. She has also discovered that if she doesn’t eat any sugar at all she feels so much better. She has stayed away from desserts and treats for years which actually wasn’t that hard for her to do. She just remembers how yucky she felt when she ate it and she has no desire to eat it.
What is hard for her now is not eating things with added sugar that most people don’t even realize contain sugar. Things like catsup, salad dressings and barbecue sauce. Sugar in one form or another is in so many foods especially those in a can or fast food. That’s why clean eating is so good. You can make your own. You know exactly what you’re eating and you know exactly what you can’t eat. That’s very important and a big help.
Now most people, on the other hand can eat as much sugar as they want and feel just fine. These recipes are for them. So if you are one of the people that can eat sugar, count your blessings and enjoy these clean eating dessert recipes.

It can be challenging enough to eat Clean, but when you start talking about desserts, it gets even harder. It’s really hard to find pre-made Clean Eating desserts, so that usually means making your own desserts. Which, if you get down to it, homemade food is the whole idea of the Clean Eating diet anyway. These Clean Eating dessert recipes don’t have white sugar, brown sugar or white flour, and a few other things are missing – but you won’t miss out on flavor. In fact, I think Clean Eating desserts taste better than “regular” dessert recipes. I think that is because the ingredients are not processed. In my opinion processing takes all the good flavor out, or else adds “stuff” that gives it a nasty flavor, such as preservatives.
I have listed the main ingredients for each recipe under the title, so you can easily see which ingredients you like, don’t like, or can’t eat. This will save you a lot of time because you won’t have to click on each and every recipe to see what the ingredients are.
